The short version
You do not need an account. The calculators run entirely in your browser — the salary you type is never sent to us, and we could not see it if we wanted to.
What happens to what you type
Nothing leaves your device. Every calculation on this site is JavaScript running locally. There is no server processing your figures, no database storing them, and nothing logged about what you entered.
What we do collect
- Visit statistics, if you allow them. We use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are opened, which site or search sent you, roughly which country, and whether you are on a phone or a desktop. It only runs if you press Allow on the banner. If you press No thanks, or ignore the banner entirely, no analytics cookie is set.
- Server logs. Standard web request records, including IP address, kept briefly for security and diagnostics. These are created by the web server itself and do not depend on your answer to the banner.
- Anything you send us. If you email about a correction, we keep that message so we can reply and track the fix.
What we never collect is the thing you probably care about most: the salary, loan amount or debt figures you type in. Those stay in your browser.
Cookies
Two things can be stored in your browser, and neither happens before you choose.
- Your answer to the cookie banner. Stored locally so we stop asking. It is a single word,
grantedordenied, and it never leaves your device. - Google Analytics cookies (
_gaand one named for our property), set only if you pressed Allow. They hold a randomly generated number that lets Google tell a returning visitor from a new one. They expire after two years, or sooner if you clear your browser.
We use Google Consent Mode, which means the default on every page load is denied until you say otherwise. Google still receives an anonymous, cookieless ping in that state so it can estimate totals, but nothing is written to your browser and nothing identifies you.

Advertising
There is none. No ad network, no affiliate links, no retargeting pixel, and advertising cookies are switched off explicitly in our Google configuration rather than merely left unused. If that ever changes, this page will say which network, what it sets and how to opt out, before it goes live.
Third parties
Three, and that is the whole list.
- Google Analytics, as described above, acting as our data processor. Google's own privacy policy covers what they do with it. You can also block it site-wide with Google's opt-out add-on.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces. Google receives the request for the font file, including your IP address, whatever you chose on the banner.
- Our web host, which keeps the ordinary access logs mentioned above.
We do not sell data, and we have no interest in starting. There is no mailing list, no account system and nothing to sign up for.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU, California or anywhere with similar law, you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data we hold about you. Given we hold almost none, this will usually be a short conversation. Write to contact@calculatordad.com.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the change is noted here.
2 October 2026: Google Analytics was added, with a consent banner. Before this date the site set no cookies of any kind.
